Glazing
techniques involve application or removal of translucent glaze with various
kinds of tools. Oil or water based glaze tinted to a proper color is applied
over a base coat of a certain color, and then removed with a tool. It
can also be applied over a base coat with a range of tools: brushes, rags,
sponges, chamoix, cheesecloth, combs, fur, etc. The final color is a composite
of the base coat color and the glaze color. Materials vary from oil based
for most subtle finishes, to water based for rougher feel techniques or
smaller surfaces. Glazing techniques are essentially not very expensive
and quick to complete. Give us an idea of your preferred look and we will
develop it for you. |
