Faux Chestnut

Problem:
Almost entire residence on Central Park West was designed to be made of chestnut wood. Hall, Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room and other spaces were built of various materials ranging from masonite to pine boards, plastic composite moldings, plywood etc.
Building the interior of this size of real chestnut would be very expensive.
Solution:
We wood grained and varnished all parts including: moldings, doors, windows, ceiling beams, columns, dado, wainscoating, cabinets etc. to match samples of real wood
