Faux Suede

Problem:
Ceiling of this modern oriental restaurant in New Jersey was originally designed to be covered with squares of suede (real leather). The design would be very labour consuming and expensive.
Solution:
The ceiling was finished with specially developed technique. We used textured acrylic paint and stippled glazes to achieve almost perfect immitation of the suede rectangles at a fraction of the price.
